Vice President - IT Business Partnering

About the role

The Vice President, IT Business Partnering is a senior technology leader responsible for driving the digital and technology agenda of Al Ghurair Foods and Resources businesses. Reporting to the Group Digital and Technology leadership team, the role shapes the technology portfolio, oversees IT Centres of Excellence and ensures the business receives measurable value from technology investments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic IT roadmap, aligning application requirements with business needs and emerging technology trends.
• Lead transformation initiatives, manage project plans, budgets, governance and risk while ensuring delivery against PMO standards.
• Drive solution assessments, RFP processes and BU‑specific solution architecture, integrating group applications and ecosystem considerations.
• Oversee rollout of new software, enforce business controls, and monitor adoption and operational efficiency.
• Partner with external vendors, project managers and internal stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage and develop the IT team, resolve conflicts, promote an agile mindset and ensure continuous upskilling.
• Identify process‑optimization opportunities, champion technology that adds value and aligns with the overall IT strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience delivering technology solutions, including senior leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing teams (at least 4 years) and large‑scale digital transformation projects.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
