Vice President of Public Affairs

About the role

Airalo is seeking a Vice President of Public Affairs to build and lead its global public affairs function, shaping policy and regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead Airalo’s global public affairs strategy aligned with business expansion plans.
• Build the function from scratch, establishing processes, selecting external advisors and growing a team.
• Lead direct engagement with government ministries, telecom regulators and consumer‑protection bodies worldwide.
• Monitor and analyse policy developments across APAC, EMEA, LATAM and North America, shaping Airalo’s positions on eSIM licensing, data privacy and digital markets.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Communications and Commercial teams to integrate policy work into business decisions and represent Airalo at industry events.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations or regulatory affairs within the tech or telecom sector, with a proven record of influencing outcomes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Deep understanding of telecom and digital‑economy regulation and the ability to operate autonomously as the first hire, building structure and processes without an existing team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high political intelligence to frame Airalo’s interests to policymakers.
