VP Finance Officer – Regulatory Reporting

About the role

Barclays is seeking a VP Finance Officer to lead financial and statistical regulatory reporting for its Saudi subsidiaries. The role will be based in the United Arab Emirates initially and will relocate to Saudi Arabia in Summer 2026. You will act as the subject‑matter expert on IFRS, statutory and financial reporting, ensuring the bank maximises its capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate financial statements and accounting records in line with applicable standards.
• Identify, assess and mitigate financial risks, reporting findings to senior management.
• Develop and maintain a robust internal control framework to safeguard assets and prevent misreporting.
• Design and implement up‑to‑date financial policies and procedures across the organisation.
• Select, implement and maintain financial systems and software, collaborating with IT for integration.
• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to authorities, including statistical reporting to the Capital Market Authority.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with IFRS accounting and regulatory (statistical) reporting.
• Relevant finance qualification or professional certification.
• Excellent written and oral business communication skills.
• Proven leadership experience through projects, direct or matrix management.
