VP Financial Reporting

About the role

The Group Reporting & Tax team at First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking a Vice President to lead IFRS 9 implementation and deliver high‑quality financial reporting across the Group. Reporting to the CFO, the role combines day‑to‑day reporting operations with strategic support for finance systems and new accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end processes, including adjustments, reconciliations, audit trails and exception tracking.
• Ensure proper accounting under IFRS and country‑specific requirements, covering derivatives, term borrowings, ECL, impairments and other key balances.
• Prepare critical disclosures for cash‑flow, derivatives, provisions and IFRS 9 in the financial statements.
• Support auditors, respond to queries and coordinate audit adjustments for the Group and its subsidiaries.
• Assist in model development, validation, data extraction, user‑acceptance testing and performance assessment.

Required profile

• Qualified professional (ACA/CFA preferred) with 5‑8 years in financial reporting.
• Experience with IFRS, especially IFRS 9, and exposure to Big 4 audit environments.
• Proven ability to work across senior stakeholders and drive process automation.
