Waiter / Waitress - All Day Dining

About the role

Hilton is hiring a Waiter / Waitress for its All Day Dining restaurant at the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah. The role delivers food and beverage service to guests and contributes to the promotion of in-house sales through knowledge of the hotel's services and outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the captain or head waiter during service and know the opening hours and promotions of all F&B outlets.
• Know the day's suggestions and keep the restaurant tidy, following the daily cleaning plan and respecting the closure plan.
• Clean trolleys and pedestal tables, polish and mise en place cutlery, and fill sugar dispensers, mustard pots, toothpicks and oil and vinegar containers.
• Supply the restaurant with linen and provide a high level of food and beverage service that meets guest satisfaction.
• Follow F&B policies, recognise quality products and presentation, and improve service standards.
• Help staff during peak periods, manage waste by reducing and recycling, and support other duties such as cleaning, mandatory meetings and assisting security with disorderly guests.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service, including alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the menu items.
• Ability to work standing and in confined spaces for long periods.

Required skills

• Basic math to operate a cash register, make change, total checks and prepare cash drops.
• Advanced English writing for requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers.
• Keyboard operation and point-of-sale procedures to pre-check, order and close out checks.
