About the role

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is looking for a waiter or waitress. The role is part of a team working with colleagues in all departments to ensure timely service and a smoothly running operation, and requires adherence to hotel policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Check out with your Supervisor before leaving your station or the floor.
• Answer guests' questions about the hotel's services and facilities.
• Follow safety policies and reasonable requests from Managers or Supervisors, even outside normal duties.
• Maintain your station to standards at all times.
• Learn and use the Point of Sale equipment correctly, following procedures.
• Keep strict security when entering guest rooms.
• Take part in training meetings to develop professional skills.
• When returning from room service, check corridors for trays, then clean and break them down in the dish area, watching for condiments, salt, pepper and sugar.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to take accurate food and beverage orders.
• Knowledge of food, beverages and menu items.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Good time management and multitasking; able to stay calm and professional during busy periods.

Required skills

• Ability to handle cash.
• Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system.
