Waiter/Waitress – Hotel Dining Service

About the role

We are looking for a professional, customer‑focused Waiter/Waitress to join the dining team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah. You will create memorable dining experiences by delivering prompt, courteous service while upholding the highest standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, seat them, present menus and take drink orders promptly.
• Present menu items with enthusiasm, make recommendations and note dietary requirements.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate special requests to kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and drinks ensuring proper presentation, temperature and timing.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, address concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Maintain cleanliness of the service station, tables and surrounding area.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash responsibly.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar and housekeeping staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health regulations at all times.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel, restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; hospitality or food‑service training preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays.
• Multilingual ability (Arabic and English preferred) to serve a diverse guest base.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
