Waiter/Waitress

About the role

Rixos Al Mairid in Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a Waiter/Waitress to provide warm, professional food and beverage service and create a welcoming experience for every guest. The role follows the resort's service standards and works closely with the team to keep the outlet running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, answer enquiries and build positive relationships through attentive service.
• Know the food and beverage menu, recommend suitable options and identify opportunities to upsell.
• Complete opening and closing duties and keep the outlet clean, organised and ready for service.
• Respond to guest concerns promptly and refer unresolved issues to the Team Leader for follow-up.
• Monitor supplies, minimise waste and assist with operating equipment inventories.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, health and safety procedures and take part in required training.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality or a related field is preferred.
• Previous food and beverage service experience in a four or five-star hotel is an advantage.
• Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays as required by operational needs.
• Able to adapt to different food and beverage outlets and support other areas of the hotel when required.
• Maintains a professional appearance and a high standard of personal hygiene.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of food and beverage service, with the ability to recommend menu items and upsell.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, guest-focused approach.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards.
• Teamwork, professionalism and commitment to a clean, organised workplace.
