Water Quality Technician – Level 1

About the role

The Water Quality Technician 1 will support the Manager and Assistant Manager in daily operations of the Water Quality Department, ensuring pools, water‑park attractions and water features are clean, safe and presented to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Manager and Assistant Manager with daily operations of the Water Quality Department, ensuring cleanliness, presentation and safe operation of pools, water‑park attractions and water features.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee maintenance, cleaning and improvement works, managing technicians and contractors to meet safety and guest‑experience standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of pools, slides, rides, plant rooms and related areas, and ensure water‑quality testing complies with health and safety regulations.
• Support team scheduling, contractor management, project planning and leave administration to maintain operational coverage.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in a mechanical or electrical trade, or a minimum of eight years relevant experience.
• Proven experience in water‑park maintenance, life‑support or water‑filtration systems (preferably three+ years).
• Strong mechanical, electrical and plumbing skill set with ability to read P&IDs, schematic drawings and PFDs.
• Fluent written and spoken English and demonstrated leadership and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Understanding of instrumentation for water‑treatment applications.
• Knowledge of FRP, PVC, HDPE and other industry materials.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematic drawings and process flow diagrams.
• Familiarity with swimming‑pool systems, water‑filtration and non‑biological water‑feature equipment.
• Basic knowledge of control systems and energy‑efficiency concepts.
