Waterproofing Inspector

About the role

We are seeking a Waterproofing Inspector to ensure that all waterproofing works meet project specifications, quality standards and manufacturer recommendations on construction sites in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect delivered waterproofing materials for quality, expiry dates and compliance with specifications.
• Verify that installation crews are trained and certified for waterproofing applications.
• Monitor surface preparation, mixing procedures and correct installation methods.
• Check membrane thickness, overlaps, seams, joints and details around penetrations and construction joints.
• Conduct or witness adhesion and other required waterproofing tests.
• Document inspections with photographs, test results and daily reports, and follow up on non‑conformances.
• Ensure completed works are protected from damage during subsequent construction activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of waterproofing inspection experience, preferably on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in sub‑structure waterproofing works.
• Experience with TPO/FPO membrane systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with Sika and Henkel waterproofing products.

Required skills

• Knowledge of waterproofing installation methods and inspection procedures.
• Ability to identify defects, prepare inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
• Understanding of waterproofing testing methods such as adhesion tests.
