Welding Engineer

About the role

WeldFab Integra Group is seeking a full‑time Welding Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will be responsible for developing, qualifying and optimizing welding procedures while supporting production teams on complex projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and qualify welding procedures and select appropriate processes and parameters.
• Review engineering drawings, specify consumables and oversee weld trials.
• Troubleshoot welding issues on the shop floor and coordinate inspections.
• Monitor weld quality, ensure compliance with codes, standards and client specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, quality control personnel and clients.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation and recommendations to improve efficiency, safety and reliability.

Required profile

• Strong practical and theoretical expertise in laser and arc welding.
• Experience in quality control and welding inspection across various materials and joints.
• Solid understanding of metallurgy, weldability and heat‑affected zone behavior.
• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with international welding standards (AWS, ASME, ISO) and related documentation.
• Experience in industrial, construction or fabrication environments, preferably heavy industry.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, symbols and specifications.
• Strong focus on safety and problem‑solving.
