Workforce Welfare Officer

About the role

Target Engineering is looking for a Workforce Welfare Officer to ensure compliance with UAE labour laws, international welfare standards and client requirements across large‑scale EPC projects. You will help create a safe, respectful and supportive environment for a diverse workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UAE labour laws, MOHRE, IFC and ILO standards.
• Coordinate and document workforce welfare audits, maintaining audit‑ready records.
• Monitor audit findings, identify gaps and drive corrective action plans.
• Support grievance mechanisms and address worker welfare concerns.
• Deliver welfare inductions, awareness programmes and worker forums.
• Prepare welfare reports, statistics, WPS records and subcontractor submissions.
• Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, clients and auditors on welfare requirements.
• Assist with worker wellbeing and happiness initiatives.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in workforce welfare or similar role within construction, heavy industry or oil & gas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Industrial Relations, Public Administration or related field.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labour law and international welfare standards (IFC, ILO).
• Experience supervising teams and managing large workforce populations.
