Year 1 Teacher – Primary Education

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Year 1 Teacher to create an engaging and inspiring learning environment for our primary students at GEMS Cambridge International Private School in Sharjah. The successful candidate will join a world‑class school committed to delivering a dynamic curriculum and fostering student motivation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum of England for Year 1.
• Incorporate creative and enthusiastic teaching methods both inside and outside the classroom.
• Collaborate with department colleagues and across phases to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and provide regular updates on student progress.
• Utilise IT tools to enhance learning and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education (mandatory).
• Minimum two years of experience teaching the English National Curriculum.
• Experience with the IGCSE curriculum is preferred.
• Strong command of English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using IT for educational purposes.
