A/C and Refrigeration Technician

About the role

The A/C and Refrigeration Technician will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, and ensure all building systems operate safely and efficiently. This role supports both guest rooms and back‑of‑house areas within the Le Méridien property in Fujairah.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines; carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved procedures.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and thorough cleanup after work.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items.
• Program televisions, perform general housekeeping inventory duties, and use Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Maintain interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Input air‑handler schedules and adjust temperature settings via computer systems.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report hazards and incidents.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to perform surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs.
• Strong communication skills to relay shift information and guest interactions.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality of proprietary information, and respect for company assets.
