AC Technician (Artisan) – Luxury Desert Resort

About the role

Join Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa in Dubai, as an AC Technician (Artisan). You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing and maintaining HVAC, air‑quality and refrigeration equipment across the resort’s 42 private pool villas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, refrigeration and related equipment, including air‑condition units, exhaust fans, ice machines and cold rooms.
• Respond to guest complaints and service requests, communicate with guests and staff, and document all work performed in the preventive‑maintenance system.
• Calibrate controls, gauges and meters; manage refrigerant recovery and charging while ensuring proper regulatory paperwork.
• Maintain inventory of parts, requisition supplies, and support energy‑conservation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hotel or related HVAC experience.
• Technical, trade or vocational certificate/diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and follow local HVAC codes and ASHRAE standards.

Required skills

• Installation, testing and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of Lock‑out/Tag‑out, OSHA safety procedures and HVAC safety protocols.
• Refrigerant handling, recovery and charging, including regulatory compliance.
• Sheet‑metal work, AC‑duct fabrication and assembly.
• Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and basic computer skills for scheduling and logging.
