A/C Technician

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic A/C Technician to join our hotel maintenance team. You will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing temperature and air‑quality control systems, ensuring a comfortable environment for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service and repair air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Check performance of refrigeration components and verify door‑closing systems on walk‑in coolers/freezers.
• Maintain defrosting systems and ice‑maker automation.
• Respond to maintenance requests from all hotel departments.
• Clean fan coil units and air‑handling unit filters on a routine basis.
• Monitor air‑conditioning and chilled water system performance.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to detect failures and set up system functions.
• Control venting of CFCs to the atmosphere and ensure compliance with national technical regulations and safety standards.
• Overhaul HVAC/refrigeration equipment, check oil and refrigerant levels, and manage major repairs.
• Coordinate parts purchases with the Engineering Storekeeper.

Required profile

• Diploma in refrigeration maintenance or building services engineering.
• Previous experience in a similar role with proven knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to diagnose faults and rectify subsystems.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, flexible and able to adapt to unpredictable events.
• Pro‑active, reliable, calm under pressure and detail‑oriented.
