AC Technician

About the role

The City University Ajman is seeking a skilled AC Technician to install, maintain, and repair air‑conditioning systems across its campus. The role involves working closely with foremen and other trades to ensure projects and work orders are completed efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with assigned foreman and other trades to complete projects and work orders.
• Diagnose problems and failures in air‑conditioning systems and determine repair or replacement needs.
• Fabricate specialty equipment parts when standard parts are unavailable.
• Inspect AC systems, exhaust fans, ventilation units and recommend preventive maintenance.
• Install new air‑conditioning equipment and upgrades.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to keep systems operating.
• Repair components such as pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils and piping.
• Maintain vehicle, tools and equipment in safe operating condition.
• Prepare written reports, activity logs and repair status documents.
• Request equipment and supplies to keep inventory stocked.
• Respond to emergency situations, including after‑hours, to resolve safety concerns.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, training and seminars as required.
• Train on a variety of tools, equipment and supplies needed at the job site.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ability to work with foremen and other trades on construction sites.
• Strong diagnostic skills for air‑conditioning systems.
• Capability to fabricate parts and handle a range of tools and equipment.
• Willingness to respond to emergencies and work flexible hours.
• Good record‑keeping and communication of work status.
