Account Manager – Fund Accounting

About the role

The Apex Group is seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead and develop its fund accounting team. You will act as a trusted partner to hedge fund clients, ensuring accurate books, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Fund Accounting team to maintain accurate hedge‑fund records and meet industry standards.
• Perform risk assessments and resource planning to support current and future client growth.
• Develop and manage a team of fund accountants, including performance reviews and knowledge development.
• Oversee daily NAV calculations, P&L analysis, cash projections, FX transfers, and client contributions/redemptions.
• Review large P&L swings, validate income/expense journals, and resolve accounting breaks.
• Conduct position and value reconciliations, general ledger exception reviews, and month‑end control processes.
• Ensure accurate accounting for non‑security income, OTC derivatives, and corporate actions.
• Collaborate with auditors for year‑end financial statements and implement process improvements.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of experience in fund accounting or related finance roles.
• Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams.
• Strong understanding of hedge‑fund operations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
