Account Manager - Retail

About the role

As part of the UAE New Verticals Team, the Retail Account Manager manages relationships with top national and SMB retail and non-food partners across a small variety of categories, such as gifts, electronics, beauty, stationery and pet accessories. The role covers onboarding, maintaining and growing partnerships, and acts as the day-to-day contact between partners and Deliveroo, conveying their needs to internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with top retail and non-food partners and become the expert in this space as the business scales
• Drive partner performance through proactive reporting, weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings and reviews, analysis, improvement projects and growth opportunities
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to solve issues and keep accounts growing
• Plan marketing and promotions for partners scaling on the platform
• Develop an ongoing attractive value proposition for customers, including selection, promotions, pricing and service levels
• Work with compliance, legal and operations to ensure best practices
• Own the execution of site roll-outs, map coverage gaps and support partner expansion
• Represent Deliveroo across each partner's organisation

Required profile

• 3-4 years of experience in account management, business development/new business or a commercial role
• Experience in the retail and/or pharmacy industry is required
• Experience in a dynamic, high-growth company is preferable

• Organisation and communication, face to face, by video, phone or email
• Data analysis and the ability to turn it into actionable recommendations
• Idea generation and strategy, with a willingness to trial at pace
