Accountant – Accounts Payable & VAT Specialist (12-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai on a 12‑month outsourced assignment. The role focuses on managing accounts payable, VAT reconciliation and fixed‑asset accounting while supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Perform VAT reconciliations and support VAT compliance and reporting requirements.
• Maintain and monitor fixed‑asset records, depreciation schedules, and asset reconciliations.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, VAT reconciliation and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Strong understanding of UAE tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
