About the role
Meydan Free Zone, which supports entrepreneurs and start-ups in Dubai, is hiring an Accountant. The role manages accounts receivable, ensures timely collection of outstanding invoices and keeps accurate financial records according to set standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and issue tax invoices accurately and deliver them promptly
- Handle incoming payments, including checks, electronic transfers and credit card transactions
- Reconcile daily cash, cheque and credit card transactions
- Match payments with accounts receivable records and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reconcile sub-ledgers with the general ledger and answer financial enquiries
- Perform other tasks as directed by the line manager
Required profile
- University degree in Finance and Accounting
- 4+ years in a similar role
- ACCA qualification
- Attention to detail; effective written and verbal communication with financial and non-financial stakeholders
- English; another language is desirable
