Accountant – Car Rental Finance

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant with experience in the car rental industry to join our Dubai team. You will support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, process sales invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and journal entries.
• Handle customer rental invoices, deposits, refunds, and monitor overdue accounts.
• Record supplier invoices, expenses, and manage accounts payable.
• Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations and assist with monthly closing.
• Verify rental agreements, extensions, additional charges and reconcile rental income and security deposits.
• Track vehicle‑related expenses such as traffic fines, Salik charges and insurance excess.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly accounting reports and support VAT return preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a UAE car‑rental company.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organizational abilities.
• Good communication skills in English and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT procedures and documentation.
