Accountant - Cash, Card & Online Sales

About the role

The Accountant – Cash, Card & Online Sales is responsible for accurate recording, reconciliation and monitoring of cash, credit‑card, e‑commerce and accounts‑receivable transactions. The role ensures that all sales are fully accounted for, collections are managed, and financial records comply with company policies and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Post daily sales from retail outlets into the ERP system and verify submission of sales reports.
• Reconcile cash collections, credit‑card receipts, payment‑gateway settlements and gift vouchers against sales records, investigating discrepancies.
• Ensure timely deposit of cash and card collections into company bank accounts and reconcile merchant settlements with bank credits.
• Record all bank debit and credit transactions, prepare vouchers and journal entries, and perform daily bank balance verification.
• Prepare, review and issue customer invoices, debit and credit notes, and maintain complete audit trails for all receipt types.
• Monitor accounts‑receivable ageing, follow up overdue accounts and coordinate collection activities.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of the accounts‑receivable sub‑ledger with the general ledger.
• Coordinate with sales, operations and other departments to resolve account queries and validate revenue transactions.
• Reconcile e‑commerce sales, payment‑gateway settlements, refunds and cancellations, and ensure accurate ERP posting.
