Accountant – Financial Reporting & VAT Specialist

About the role

Helix Consultant Studio is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end and year‑end close, and ensuring compliance with VAT and other regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, debit and credit notes.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Support audit processes by providing schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and UAE regulations, including VAT filing.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, banks and internal departments on financial matters.
• Utilise accounting software and ERP systems for transaction processing and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven accounting experience with a focus on general ledger, AP/AR and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Immediate availability is preferred.

Required skills

• Odoo ERP (strong advantage).
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with other Microsoft Office applications.
