Accountant – Full Cycle & VAT Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to manage full‑cycle accounting functions for a jewellery/retail business in the UAE. The role involves preparing statutory financial statements, handling VAT and corporate tax compliance, and supporting management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full‑cycle accounting: journals, ledgers, reconciliations, trial balance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Produce MIS reports, variance analysis and management dashboards.
• Support budgeting, performance analysis and cost tracking.
• Manage inventory valuation, stock reconciliation and cost accounting.
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns on time.
• Assist corporate tax compliance and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to UAE financial regulations, internal controls and audit requirements.
• Work with ERP systems (Wingold Next, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Tally) and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (advanced degree/MBA preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in jewellery or retail sector.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Available to work in the UAE and able to join immediately.
