Accountant – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a responsible and detail‑oriented Accountant to manage the day‑to‑day accounting and financial activities of the company. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, handling VAT matters, monitoring receivables and payables, and supporting management with financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date accounting records and financial transactions.
• Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments and bank transactions.
• Prepare and maintain cash book, bank book, purchase register, sales register and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet.
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, following up on outstanding customer payments and supplier balances.
• Prepare customer invoices, credit notes, debit notes and payment records.
• Verify supplier invoices and supporting documents before processing payments.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
• Prepare payroll‑related accounting entries and coordinate salary/payment records.
• Assist management with cash‑flow monitoring and financial planning.
• Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports for management.
• Handle VAT accounting, VAT return preparation and related records in accordance with UAE requirements.
• Maintain records for Corporate Tax and provide information required for tax compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants and other financial advisors when required.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable UAE regulations.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.
