Accountant – Hospitality Finance

About the role

The Accountant will support Hyatt Place's Accounting & Finance function, ensuring accurate financial recording, cash management, and compliance while upholding Hyatt service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily revenue transfers from POS systems to Scala and record daily statistics, collections, direct debits, and journal entries.
• Run and review daily bank statements, prepare General Cashier's Daily Reports, and maintain credit‑card transaction records.
• Collect, verify, and deposit Front Office and F&B cash remittances, reconcile cash, cheques, and house bank funds.
• Conduct operational audits, random checks on discounted transactions, and support internal‑control improvements.
• Manage accounts payable, scan and submit invoices, and maintain records for FF&E, fixed assets, and special projects.
• Coordinate monthly and bi‑annual physical inventories and safeguard contracts, leases, and insurance policies.
• Administer hotel credit and collection procedures and handle supplier, guest, and employee financial inquiries.
• Maintain organized filing systems, handle correspondence, and support finance projects and capital‑expenditure requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA) is an advantage.
• 2‑4 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, cash management, bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
