Accountant – International Conservation Projects

About the role

RENECO is seeking an experienced Accountant to support its expanding conservation programmes across Morocco and Kazakhstan. You will ensure accurate financial processing, reporting, and compliance within an international, non‑profit environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process accounting transactions in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including purchase orders, invoices, expense claims, and payment follow‑up.
• Monitor bank accounts and petty‑cash transactions, performing regular reconciliations.
• Support fixed‑asset tracking, inventory checks, and maintenance of accurate accounting records.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and monitor third‑party accounts.
• Assist internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
• Contribute to financial reporting, identify inconsistencies, and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain accounting documentation, filing systems, and administrative financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an international setting.
• At least 3 years of audit exposure (preferred).
• Mandatory experience working in the UAE.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems – Oracle is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
