Accountant

About the role

The Finance team is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations in a fast‑paced, transaction‑heavy environment. You will ensure accurate posting of journal entries, vendor invoice processing, and support month‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record accounting transactions after review, coding and verification of supporting documents.
• Post monthly journal entries within agreed timelines.
• Maintain complete supporting documents and a clear audit trail for all entries.
• Book vendor invoices, perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare cheques, print and post them in Microsoft Dynamics, and create temporary vouchers.
• Safekeep and organise hard‑copy accounting vouchers according to company procedures.
• Assist filing clerk to maintain an orderly filing structure.
• Provide documents and vouchers during internal and external audits.
• Support senior accountants with audit queries and month‑end closing tasks.
• Perform other finance‑related administrative tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 5‑6 years of relevant accounting experience, including 1‑2 years in the UAE.
• Experience in the car‑rental industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting vouchers, documentation flow and internal controls.
• Ability to work under supervision, follow standard processes and take ownership of tasks.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Working experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
