Accountant (MEP & Construction)

About the role
The Accountant will handle receivables, payables, and utility billing for MEP and construction projects, ensuring accurate financial records and timely payments.
Key responsibilities
- Check petty cash statements, update books of accounts, and process payments to suppliers.
- Maintain utility bills, reconcile supplier and group company accounts, and monitor VAT invoices.
- Prepare debit notes, reconcile bank balances, and generate monthly reports on petty cash, utilities, and expenses.
- Assist with month/period end closing tasks and support internal departments for timely accounting entries.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred).
- 1 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with at least 1 year in the contracting industry.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced Excel functions.
- Strong knowledge of financial procedures, controls, and data validation.
- Experience with SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, HR, Sales).
