Accountant – Real Estate Developer

About the role

Nationwide Middle East Properties LLC is looking for an experienced Accountant with a strong background in real‑estate development. The role will oversee the full accounting cycle, manage project‑related financials and ensure accurate commission calculations for brokers and sales teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger, prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports and perform bank, customer and supplier reconciliations.
• Record and monitor project development costs, construction expenditures, escrow transactions and property sales processing.
• Calculate broker, agency and internal sales team commissions, verify eligibility, prepare statements and manage reversals or claw‑backs.
• Monitor customer receivables, reconcile accounts, prepare aging reports and support collection activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT and internal policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4‑6 years of accounting experience in the UAE, including at least 3 years with a real‑estate developer.
• Proven experience in calculating commissions for brokers, agencies and internal sales teams.
• Strong understanding of off‑plan sales, escrow accounts, customer payment plans, revenue recognition and real‑estate sales cycles.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations.
