Accountant – Tax & VAT Specialist

About the role

Bestax Chartered Accountants is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support its Dubai office. You will work with a diverse client base, handling tax compliance, financial reporting and day‑to‑day accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file VAT returns and corporate tax returns for local and international clients.
• Provide strategic tax planning and advice, including cross‑border considerations.
• Liaise with tax authorities, manage audits and resolve tax disputes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and produce financial statements and reports.
• Stay updated on new tax laws and regulations and advise clients on tax implications of business decisions.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver integrated client solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 4‑5 years of experience in accounting and tax, with strong focus on VAT and corporate tax.
• Proven experience managing financials for clients across multiple industries and regions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in international taxation and multilingual capabilities.

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• VAT filing.
• Corporate tax preparation.
