Accountant – Umm Al Quwain, UAE

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Umm Al Quwain. The role involves managing day‑to‑day bookkeeping, preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
• Handle daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Manage corporate tax computations, filings and compliance.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Ensure adherence to UAE accounting standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT filing procedures and corporate tax regulations.
• Understanding of UAE accounting standards and financial reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
