Accounting Clerk

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounting Clerk to join the Finance team at Novotel Dubai Al Barsha. The role supports daily financial operations, handling both payable and receivable processes while ensuring accurate records. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the clerk works closely with cross‑functional teams to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily banking transactions, including deposits and reconciliations.
• Conduct daily and periodic income audits, identifying and resolving variances.
• Process accounts payable items: invoice entry, coding, and approval coordination.
• Review and manage Front Office guest ledgers and sales ledgers, performing accounts receivable functions.
• Handle credit‑card inquiries and chargebacks promptly.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare supporting documentation.
• Enter and verify financial data in accounting systems with precision.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding account information.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Contribute to the improvement of accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
• Identify training opportunities and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
