Accounting Lead, Middle East

About the role

The Accounting Lead for the Middle East will oversee the accounting function across Otis ME entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS/GAAP and driving efficient financial close processes. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will lead a team responsible for general ledger, intercompany, and consolidation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger management, journal entries, accruals, provisions and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations and support group consolidation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies and external audit requirements.
• Mentor and develop the Record‑to‑Report (R2R) team, allocate work and monitor performance against SLAs.
• Identify and drive process improvement, automation and standardisation initiatives.
• Participate in ERP system implementations or enhancements.
• Collaborate with FP&A, AP, AR, Tax and business units, providing financial insights to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial accounting, with at least 5 years in managerial roles.
• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Professional certification such as CMA preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
