Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting department of our Foodservice division in the UAE. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate daily financial records, timely month‑end close, and preparation of comprehensive financial overviews.

Key responsibilities

• Assist internal and external auditors during audit processes and manage the annual inventory audit.
• Support the annual budgeting exercise and produce a financial budget aligned with business assumptions.
• Ensure accurate accounting by business unit, prepare monthly cost allocations, financial statements, bank reconciliations and foreign‑currency accounting.
• Implement SOP controls, oversee spending within approved budgets, and manage supplier contributions.
• Review VAT returns for accuracy and coordinate stock shortage/excess quantification.
• Drive working‑capital improvements, reduce trade receivables and extend payable days.
• Control purchasing costs, monitor capital expenditures and depreciation forecasts.
• Provide training, coaching and performance management for the accounting team.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Senior Accountant in an FMCG or distribution environment.
• At least 1 year of managerial accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
• Professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CMA or CPA).
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking and team‑player attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards (preferred).
