Actuarial Analyst – Health Insurance (Dubai)

About the role

Cigna Insurance Middle East is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join its Dubai team. The analyst will work closely with the Middle East and Africa actuarial group and collaborate with Data & Analytics, Underwriting and Product Development to provide insights that drive business decisions across the health insurance market.

Key responsibilities

• Process data, perform reconciliations and conduct analytical reviews.
• Develop actuarial pricing for the Middle East and Africa, including experience studies, book rates, pricing assumptions and methodology updates.
• Support analytics on medical cost drivers and trends to inform business strategy.
• Create dashboards and reports to improve the speed and quality of actuarial analysis.
• Maintain pricing and underwriting tools, and assist with the monthly financial close and reserving process.
• Collaborate with Data & Analytics, Underwriting and Finance teams and help compile regulatory submissions.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or a related field.
• Progress towards Associate credentials with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or the Society of Actuaries and a commitment to achieve Fellowship.
• Minimum two years of actuarial experience in the Middle East health insurance market.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven with strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Data‑analytics tools such as R, SQL and Alteryx (or equivalent).
