Adjunct Faculty – Computer Information Systems

About the role

The Higher Colleges of Technology seeks qualified Adjunct Faculty to deliver undergraduate instruction in Computer Information Systems (CIS) subjects. The role focuses on a student‑centric environment, supporting second‑language learners while respecting their cultural backgrounds.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver effective instruction for assigned CIS courses and at least two additional program areas, including capstone projects and senior‑level specialized courses.
• Participate actively in academic and extra‑curricular events within the college and the wider community.
• Engage in applied research, outreach activities, and collaboration with the Program Coordinator.
• Manage teaching load up to nine (9) credits per semester, adhering to a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule (8:00 AM‑8:00 PM) based on the teaching timetable.

Required profile

• Master’s degree and a professional certification relevant to CIS, or a Bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience and appropriate certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to foster respect for students, their culture, and traditions in a diverse learning environment.
