Adjunct Faculty – Physics (Assistant/Associate Professor)

About the role

The Department of Environmental Sciences and Sustainability at Zayed University is hiring an Adjunct Faculty member to teach physics courses on the Abu Dhabi campus starting August 2026. The position is designed for candidates with a strong academic background in physics who can deliver high‑quality instruction to undergraduate and graduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach general physics courses and develop curriculum materials.
• Facilitate class discussions, ensure student engagement, and maintain accurate class records.
• Assess student coursework and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with department colleagues on research initiatives and co‑curricular activities.
• Report to the department head and contribute to departmental meetings.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or terminal degree in Physics (or a closely related field).
• Demonstrated experience teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Strong record of teaching effectiveness.
• Ability to contribute to research in a specialized physics area.

Required skills

• Expertise in core physics concepts and laboratory techniques.
• Curriculum development and instructional design.
• Student assessment and academic advising.
