Adjunct Lecturer – IT Project Management

About the role

Murdoch University Dubai is seeking an Adjunct Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching in Information Technology Project Management. The role involves guiding undergraduate and diploma students through the full project lifecycle, linking theory with real‑world ICT practice.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging lectures and labs on ICT project management.
• Mark assignments and provide constructive feedback.
• Facilitate practical learning using real‑world case studies and project scenarios.
• Mentor students in developing schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and stakeholder communication plans.
• Support the use of project management tools, methodologies, and ethical frameworks in student projects.

Required profile

• Demonstrated teaching experience in project management at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
• Master’s degree (AQF Level 9) in Information Technology or a closely related field, plus a Bachelor’s degree (AQF Level 7) in the same area.
• Significant industry experience managing or contributing to ICT projects across the full lifecycle.
• Hands‑on experience with project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, resource, procurement, stakeholder, and communications management.

Required skills

• Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) framework
• PRINCE2 methodology (advantageous)
• ITIL framework (advantageous)
• Knowledge of ISO 9000/9001 quality standards
