Agile Delivery Manager - Airline Operations

About the role

Emirates IT is looking for an Agile Delivery Manager for its airline operations business in Dubai. The role plans, leads, organises and motivates scrum teams, within a Release Train or outside, to deliver high-quality outputs that add value to customers. It may cover several concurrent high-visibility initiatives using agile or hybrid methods across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate key ceremonies such as PI planning and Review, and coach team members to optimise the Release Train team.
• Blend traditional project management with agile approaches, balancing agility and predictability.
• Create a safe environment for raising problems and lead with servant leadership.
• Lead supplier engagement and governance, including SoWs, SLAs/KPIs and vendor performance, and work with Procurement and Legal on contracts and onboarding of technology partners.
• Drive quality by enforcing the Definition of Done and a sustainable pace.
• Maintain an agile project management tool (e.g. ScrumDesk, JIRA).
• Support team development, remove roadblocks, mentor members and attend stand-ups and scrum of scrums.
• Support the Technical Product Manager and IT Service Manager, and define and run agile governance with continuous improvement.
• Assist with cost estimation, total cost of ownership, budget control and forecasting, and support RFx phases in procurement.

Required profile

• Degree or honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science or similar, with 8+ years of experience in IT or related fields.
• Proven leadership and project delivery experience in a matrix organisation with global teams.
• Experience in agile delivery within large technology change programmes.
• 5+ years of hands-on Scrum management.

Required skills

• Certified SAFe and PMI ACP (PMI, Prince 2, CSM desirable)
• Tools such as ServiceNow ITBM, Microsoft Office, JIRA and Confluence
• Knowledge of large-scale systems architecture and familiarity with AI concepts and tools
• Networking and firewall requirements for HHTs, IoT devices and precision tools are an advantage
