AI Content Designer

About the role

A multi-sector AI programme in the UAE is hiring a Senior Content Designer in Abu Dhabi. The role shapes how the Design System speaks: its vocabulary, patterns and tone used across products and brands, which are live and serve tens of thousands of people in both Arabic and English. It is not about building components or polishing copy screen by screen, but creating a shared foundation that designers, engineers and AI tools can use.

Key responsibilities

• Build and grow the shared vocabulary every product relies on, and decide where brands should sound the same and where they should keep their own personality.
• Create go-to patterns for key moments, such as errors and alerts, and untangle journeys where unclear wording causes confusion.
• Recognise when the real fix is in the flow or service, not the sentence, and organise system knowledge so AI-powered workflows work reliably.
• Decide where AI can be trusted to write and where it needs firm boundaries.
• Work with Arabic and English experts so right-to-left is planned from day one.
• Give teams the tools to get content right themselves.

Required profile

• Experience solving content challenges across whole products, not just single flows.
• Natural systems thinker who has built guidelines or standards others use.
• Comfortable keeping multiple brands consistent while letting each sound like itself.
• Confident making the case to product, engineering, brand and leadership.

Required skills

• Taxonomies and structured documentation.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted content work, including where it works and where it fails.
• Working outside of design tools, with plain text files and repos.
