AI Solutions Developer / Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AI Solutions Developer / Engineer to join the AI Value Lab at Damen Shipyards Group in Abu Dhabi. You will translate business challenges into proof‑of‑concepts, prototypes and scalable AI‑powered applications that improve decision‑making across our maritime operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain AI‑driven applications, copilots, intelligent agents and automation solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform and Azure AI Services.
• Build integrations between AI solutions, business systems, APIs and data sources, and support the transition of prototypes to production‑ready solutions.
• Evaluate emerging AI models, tools and frameworks (e.g., Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot) and experiment with prompt engineering, agent orchestration and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Data & AI specialists and technology teams to identify opportunities, create demonstrations and measure business value.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in solution development, automation or digital transformation, with at least 2 years hands‑on AI‑enabled projects.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑moving, innovation‑focused environments and to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
