AI Solutions Developer / Engineer

About the role

Join the AI Value Lab at Damen Shipyards Group to turn business challenges into AI‑driven solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders, data specialists and technology teams to prototype, test and scale AI applications that improve decision‑making and productivity across a global maritime organization.

Key responsibilities

• Build AI solutions by translating business challenges into proof‑of‑concepts, prototypes and minimum viable products.
• Design, develop, and maintain AI‑powered applications, copilots, intelligent agents and automation solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform and Azure AI Services.
• Create integrations between AI solutions, business systems, APIs and data sources.
• Support the transition of successful prototypes into production‑ready solutions and continuously improve performance, reliability and user experience.
• Explore emerging AI models, tools and frameworks; experiment with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and prompt engineering.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑6 years of experience in solution development, automation or digital transformation.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with AI technologies or AI‑enabled solutions.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to solve complex problems in fast‑moving, innovation‑focused environments.
