AI Transformation Lead

About the role

Cognita Schools is establishing its AI function and seeks a senior leader to design and deliver AI strategy across its global network of schools. You will build the function from the ground up, shaping AI adoption, governance and measurable impact.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a prioritized AI roadmap, turning vision into end‑to‑end delivery.
• Hire, lead and mentor an internal AI team while managing external delivery partners.
• Act as the single point of contact for AI demand, triaging use cases and directing them to appropriate solutions.
• Design, build and deploy AI agents, automation workflows and orchestration platforms from prototype to production.
• Develop AI literacy programmes, champion networks and change‑management initiatives across the organisation.
• Establish AI governance, safety and responsible‑AI frameworks in collaboration with legal, compliance and security teams.
• Track adoption, ROI and efficiency gains, using data to scale successful solutions and retire underperforming ones.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AI or digital transformation programmes at scale with measurable business outcomes.
• Deep expertise in applied AI, including generative AI, personal agents, automation and orchestration.
• Track record of deploying AI tools and platforms from early stages and integrating them into enterprise systems.
• Experience building and leading small technical AI teams and managing vendor relationships.
• Strong ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and translate enthusiasm into prioritized outcomes.
