Aircraft Dispatcher

About the role

Sharjah Aviation Services is looking for an Aircraft Dispatcher to plan, monitor and expedite aircraft turnaround operations. The role covers aircraft handling, documentation, load control and planning, and ensures that all movements are handled professionally for the company and its airline customers while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and produce loading, weight and balance documentation according to airline specifications, with or without the Departure Control System.
• Prepare and issue loading instructions and sign off the legal documentation required for each flight.
• Send flight messages (LDM/CPM and UCM) and act on advisory messages about aircraft allocations and changes without delay.
• Monitor check-in for load variances and share details with the flight decks, and verify passenger figures, baggage and cargo weights and fuel figures.
• Perform the 6-point check on every loadsheet, make LMC changes on load sheets and ensure aircraft weight and balance stay within approved limits.
• Ensure stands are clean and free of foreign object debris, and that ramp staff provide a swift service for passengers, baggage and cargo.
• Manage the offload procedure so airlines carry maximum payload, and ensure staff and ground support equipment are present for arrivals and departures.
• Carry out pre-flight and post-flight activities, prepare manual weight and balance documents if a system fails, and keep trip files accurate.
• Keep the load control competency certificate and training records current, follow company safety, security and health policies, and adhere to uniform and grooming standards.

Required profile

• High secondary, diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in aviation operational activities; previous ramp operation experience is an advantage.
• Excellent command of English and a driving licence.
• A current Load Control (W&B) licence is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
