Aircraft Engine Configuration Support Engineer (12-Month Contract)

About the role

This is a specialized aircraft-engine focused position supporting GP7200 and GE90 engines. The Engineer will manage engine configuration activities across maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations, ensuring accuracy, traceability and regulatory compliance throughout the engine lifecycle. The role also serves as the EHS focal point for the storefront, driving safety initiatives and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage GP7200 and GE90 engine configurations during maintenance and overhaul activities.
• Review hardware swap requests and verify compliance with approved configurations and work scopes.
• Ensure accurate documentation, traceability and record management of part numbers, serial numbers, modifications and service bulletins.
• Support configuration change control processes and coordinate with engineering, production, quality and maintenance teams.
• Monitor configuration integrity and ensure adherence to internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to resolve configuration issues and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and drive process improvements, supporting Lean and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Act as the EHS focal point, promote safety culture, close EHS actions and support incident investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in engine configuration management, systems engineering or aerospace MRO operations.
• Strong knowledge of GP7200 and/or GE90 engine systems.
• Familiarity with FAA/EASA regulatory requirements.
• Experience using SAP, Teamcenter or similar PLM/enterprise systems.
• Understanding of Lean methodologies and continuous-improvement principles.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
