Aircraft Paint Technician

About the role

Air Arabia is looking for a Paint Technician in Sharjah to carry out aircraft painting and surface finishing on aircraft undergoing Base and Line Maintenance. The role ensures that all assigned work meets the required quality and technical standards, supports aircraft appearance and protection, and that painting maintenance is completed and recorded accurately and on time in line with company procedures and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned task cards with the Engineer-in-Charge before starting work, covering priorities, documentation and cautions.
• Prepare and perform scheduled maintenance according to task cards, obtaining the right documentation, parts, tools and ground support equipment.
• Carry out paint repairs as instructed, in line with approved data and procedures and under the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
• Draw tools and equipment from stores and return them in good condition after each task.
• Report task status regularly and alert the Engineer-in-Charge to any aircraft condition or execution issues.
• Manage safety, follow mandatory precautions, use protective equipment and pay attention to human factors such as work interruptions, access and lighting.
• Support the team and other departments with information and help, and represent Air Arabia professionally with external partners and customers.
• Keep cost awareness, minimising waste of consumables and repeat work.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience performing maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus types.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Base Maintenance Workshop environment.
• Solid basic understanding of airframe and engine maintenance theory and practice.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to a good standard for technical communication.
• Ability to use a computer (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to obtain a UAE driver's licence.
