Aircraft Technician - Line Maintenance Support

About the role

Emirates Engineering is a GCAA CAR V approved aircraft maintenance facility supporting Emirates' Airbus and Boeing fleet and thirty other airlines through third-party contracts. As an Aircraft Technician in Line Maintenance Support you will carry out maintenance on Emirates and third-party aircraft components in line with company procedures and regulations, working as part of a team under the direction of the assigned Licensed Aircraft Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine aircraft, engine and component servicing and maintenance, and approved structural repairs in line with manufacturer procedures and safety procedures for fluid replenishment, refuelling and systems charging.
• Complete component replacement and other maintenance activities directed by the supervisor, reading the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) or other approved documentation.
• Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers with troubleshooting, defect rectification and modifications, following job cards.
• Promote a safety culture, report deficiencies and failures, and keep work areas, the ramp, vehicles, stands and lockers free of FOD, with regular toolbox audits.
• Maintain knowledge of airport safety regulations and hold an Airport Driving Permit, complying with airport manoeuvring area requirements.
• Work with the supervisor on performance management and development plans via the MyBC system, and attend to tasks promptly to maximise ground time.
• Obtain aircraft and component status briefs from the LAE, report defects in time and share relevant information during shift handovers.
• Use current knowledge to help allocate resources via RMS / RTC when required.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification: 5+ years of experience.
• Graduate (12+2).
• Apprenticeship in aircraft maintenance or equivalent training with a reputable airline or an approved maintenance organisation, or an Engineering Aircraft Maintenance License.
