Airfield and Civils Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Wasael Property Management is looking for a proactive Airfield and Civils Maintenance Engineer to support the day-to-day management of civil infrastructure assets across multiple sites. The role coordinates service providers, maintains asset performance and ensures compliance with regulatory and safety standards in a critical, high-availability environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor contractors so that services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with agreed standards.
• Inspect civil assets such as pavements, roads and structures, keeping accurate records.
• Support the planning and execution of maintenance activities to minimise operational disruption.
• Review technical documents, specifications and maintenance plans.
• Monitor asset performance and report on technical and safety compliance.
• Take part in internal and external audits.
• Ensure changes to scope, specifications and drawings are properly documented.
• Support asset lifecycle activities from mobilisation through to decommissioning.
• Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and escalate issues and risks where required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, infrastructure or aviation environments.
• Experience managing contractors and service delivery in complex environments.
• UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of civil maintenance and asset management.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements; aviation knowledge is an advantage.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
• Problem-solving and organisational skills.
